Welcome to Gypsy Twang's new web page.  All the information on our band has been so scattered here and there, with accounts on Reverbnation, Facebook, Kickstarter and Yahoo.  I finally decided it was time to pull it all together in one place, where our friends can find our schedule, contact information, CDs and photos.  Naturally, I had business cards made before I started the website.  Always a day late and a dollar short, lol.

This is an interesting time in my life personally, and in our life as a band.  I recently quit my job so I could devote more time to my family and my music.  We spent most of this year working on recordings for our two new albums (more on that in a later post).  The first album, Daddy, is now out in CD form as well as digitally on ITunes and the like.  It's dedicated to my father, and I think I've made him proud!  The recording is finished for the second album, Sarah Barker & Gypsy Twang, and I'm currently in the production phase, getting it manufactured and then jumping through all the necessary hoops to get it ready for distribution.  I've learned so much about every aspect of album production, it's enough to make your head spin!  And to top it all off, we're currently looking for a new guitar player!  Never a dull moment...

Designing this web page is yet another adventure.  I'm beginning to wonder how I ever had time to work a 'real' job!  I'll have to say the entire production process has been interesting, to put it mildly.  There have been many headaches, lots of bumps in the road, and plenty of moments of pure joy along the way.  If I had it all to do over again, I'd have done many things differently, but it's all a learning process and it's all good.

If you're interested in following the process from the beginning to where we are today, here's a link to our Kickstarter page:

So, glad you found your way to our new website.  Hope you check in from time to time to see what we're up to.  I'll post updates when I have something new to say!
